From the distance I had seen you,
   like one who had seen the sun.
Who you are pierced me through
   and I desired that we were one.

A moment with you is simply gold,
   my joy is unsurpassed.
These times produced passions bold,
   that I withdraw to fast.

Yet I am always here,
   and you I always see.
I could quiet all your fears,
   for I am always me.

I have drawn so close
   I know just where you are.
If you sense do you suppose
   that I'm not that far?

Through time I had seen you,
   like one who needed the Son.
Who you are pierced Me through
   when I had died that we'd be one.

A moment with you makes your faith gold,
   My joy is unsurpassed.
These times produced courage bold,
   I wish that they would last.

Yet I am always here,
   and you I always see.
I can quiet all your fears,
   for I am always Me.

I have drawn so close
   I know always where you are.
As you believe you now know
   that I'm not that far.
