Let me enflame, or offer peace,
   name the One Name or else I'll cease.
I will convict or I will encourage.
Point to the good Food where one is nourished.
I'll point ahead and cry out, "Danger!"
Recall the Son, once born in a manger.
In these dark times I'll recite Hope.
I hope my rhymes point to that Rope.
 
I will obey. If not, repent,
   for You have stayed, making me so bent.
Bend me to love. From there I'll warn.
With You above, let me not harm.
 
Your love makes mine seem like it's hate.
Your words are wine, mine seem to prate.
I'm one of Your children, as You've received us,
   as one of Your pilgrims, let me show Jesus.
I realize, Father, I'm seeking Your privilege,
   to love like my Brother, against the carnage.
I fall so short. Yet I fail to lie.
   Let me be His sort, or else let me die.
