I must walk the firey forges
for it's there I'll know the Name.
Peace with this life, it seems it ceases
to know the One who took my blame.

Shame is lost, pride is thrown,
left with my spirit and my flesh.
My life is where His sword is known
where two spirits might enmesh.

I must look long into holy flames
fight the Rage in this world's war.
I'm made wise to Satan's games.
He who'll sire Babylon's whore.

So I'm to walk into those forges,
naming the One who has my life.
He knows my soul, with its dirges
as I know Him in my strife.

Fix Your gaze upon this man.
I will be much better for it.
Hear my prayer, great I AM.
Let me walk in Your Spirit.

It's not in Your heart to give me sympathy,
You've identified with what I am.
Now You've give Your Identity
Father sees me like the Son of Man.
