Came swiftly
Like a tidal wave
A voice, a pat, a hug
Not knowing where I got myself into

The water rising up to my neck
My heart was a crack
My mind was a wreck
Letting it slip into my veins

A drop
Was all it needed to rob
In the sea I drowned myself
But revive each time to become stronger

The tide pulled in bit too early
It flowed from my eyes
The stream of happiness rolled away
Leaving trailed droplets of sorrow pelting down

Now
I¡¯m dehydrated
Thirst for a quench
Stop me from this wrench

Time pulled us apart
Memories remained in my heart
Tried finding another element
But it was redundant

Till I met fire
Burned my heart with desire
Provided me light during the day
Gave me warmth throughout the night

Together we created bliss
All one could wish
But the sparkle was gone too soon
Before it even reaches noon

The flame we had extinguished
Water and fire I could not distinguish
A light so bright
Scarred me with numerous burns

All I feel is pain
Hurt by the pouring rain
All I want is to be numb
Ignore the fire on my thumb

Free myself from this burden
Avoid the inferno of sunburn
Cry out all my blood
Stay away from the flood

Yesterday is history
Tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift
Receive it as my present

Indeed sin within puts us on the fire and robs our Good Life - unfaithful to God's Loving Truth always burns Good Life in The End doesn't it?

Faithful love is a desire to do God's will and doesn't suffer such nasty burns ever - though it is a most awesome flame of Good Life within.

My only advise would be - don't just take the New Day as a gift - but repent of unfaithful living yesterday - letting Christ's loving truth fix the damage done - raising back to life what died and setting you free from loosing more of your good life in the future

Thanks for sharing your fall creatively with us here.

Peace
