Tirades from the right, preenings from the left,
my heart holds a silent scoff.
Their platform gives clue to their drift,
how far their flesh has wandered off.

To me their speeches, they provoke.
I'm moved to seek the Kingdom.
May my speech be Spirit-soaked,
girded by Majestic wisdom.

I pull the switch with simple prayer.
You'll think I've sunk, I'm such a brat.
Two years hence in tensioned air.
I call myself a Theocrat.

Think as you must, I won’t twitch.
I’m sure of His Solution.
While I will pull that switch,
He'll keep His constitution.

He doesn't need anyone's vote.
He'll follow His pure will.
I'll see His foot on Satan's throat.
A foot that's wounded still.

His kingdom come, His will be done.
But first, reign in me.
God gave the crown to His Son.
So reign in me, I plea...
