While your relationship with God is personal, he never intends it to be only private. We belong to each other and connected to every other believer. You need a community of people to express love, share in your praises unto God. The church is called the body of Christ. This is the pattern of the church as seen in Acts 2:41, 47.

There are several reasons why you need to be added to the church.

a. The church is a place of divine Training

God, in the design of the church (called out) made it the centre of learning about the complete wisdom, love, promises and Will of God. It is the place where one is trained on how to live like Christ, the Master; with neighbour and fellow Christians.
The church is the place where you are taught how to recognize and defeat temptations, manage the crisis of life and prepare for eternity with God.

b. The church helps You share in God’s Mission

Every Christian has the responsibility of sharing the word of God with others in order to be saved (Matthew 28:18-20).
The world will remain in darkness about the truth of God and his divine provisions for man until the saved ones preach this message.
The church, therefore, presents the suitable platform-training, logistics, administration, for preaching the word of salvation and reconciling men unto their Creator.

c. The church is a place to express your spiritual Gift

Every Christian has spiritual gifts given to him to help develop the entire church. As member of the body of Christ, we are his hands, feet, eyes, and heart. God builds the church on earth with the hands of the members. The body is a collection of spiritually talented people in singing, teaching, preaching and other gifts.

Endeavour to be added to the church and use your gift to enrich the assembly of the saints. Reach out to the church of Christ near you.
