Do you ever feel like you are at the end of your rope? Like nothing you do is ever right. You seem to get on your teenagers last nerve, or you can't get supper on the table in time for your husband to come home from work, because you are so tired from working all day. You deal with people who don't give you the time of day, or even make eye contact with you, or crack a smile. You try not to bring it home with you, but somehow it tends to affect our attitude for the rest of the day.

I'm typically a very happy person and I tend to take it to heart when people don't seem to be happy with me. Even if their attitude has nothing to do with me! I want to live in a world where everyone loves Jesus, we are all brothers and sisters in Christ and we just share the love. That's not going to happen on this earth. I have to be in this world, but not of this world. John 15:19, If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. It's wonderful that someday, we will be taken home to heaven, where we really will experience that kind of love.

This is where the renewing of my mind comes in. It has to be done on a daily basis, or life would just be unbearable without Christ. I remember the Word that I have read and know the hope that is to come. I am to start my day in the presence of the Lord, giving myself to Him and in return He enables me with the strength, to make it through the day. When people give me a hard time, I can call on Christ who lives in me, to look at that person and see beyond the immediate situation. Sometimes, I have found that those people may have suffered the loss of a loved one, or are terminally ill. Many times when you get them talking, there is usually a reason behind the stern face or sadness.

If I remember to put God first in my life, I have the perfect opportunity to let God use me to minister to those broken hearted people. If I just give them back what they give me, I would miss out on shining my light for the Lord and being able to somehow touch a heart. I have also learned having 2 teenagers, that most of the time, when they are rough with me, is usually when something in going on in their life and they really need me. They are just teenagers and don't want to ask for our help. Sometimes a hug, if I can get one in, or just telling them I love them, calms down the attitude and it's much better. Every once in a while, it's just the teenage season, that they are going through and you have to set them straight. Even, with that. A hug or saying, I love you, truly makes a world of difference. Proverbs 15:1, A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. This scripture works on our teenagers too.

As far as getting my husbands food on the table or keeping my house clean, that I am still struggling with. Life is just so busy and I am just so tired. The Lord gives strength and is always working on me and changing me for His glory and hopefully, for my husband. He is a great man and deserves the wife that the Bible teaches us about. Proverbs 31:27-28, She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.

Everyday is an opportunity to try to make a difference and better ourselves in the Lord. We will never be perfect on this old earth and there will be times of feeling overwhelmed, but we know who to go to. He is a awesome, mighty God who takes joy in our coming to Him and spending time with Him in His presence. It is there where we are changed forever. Praise God!
