Healing

By the flick of a switch,
the world enters my home,
in varied degrees.
Up, down, left and right,
I'm immersed in a fight
in which I don't believe.

For a dollar or two,
I might read about you
in newspaper lines.
Opinions in print
for me, don't mean a thing,
some are based upon lies.

I'm not of this world,
{or so I am told}
strains an old violin.
Duplicity rains,
windows become stained,
yet I won't give in!

I'm boarding a train,
Grace bound in the rain,
Iron on steel.
Nothing to be gained
by my looking back,
see sparks on the wheels.

While moving along,
I am singing a song
called; 'I am alive"
Landscape looks bright,
as I rode through the night,
finally, I've arrived.

I'm descending the train,
there's no promise of rain,
on my face, I feel sunshine.
A man tips his hat,
says;'Good morning my dear',
which means so much to me.

I left all my baggage,
I'm travelling light,
weight's been lifted from me.
God carries my heart
in the palm of His hand,
I'm in Graceland, you see.
