The Message bible at times looks like SABBATOGE
The Word of God should be greatly respected and
Guarded from misrepresentation and misinterpretation, and
Many people today run the risk of devaluing the Bible—
Eugene Petersen appears to be one of them
It is no surprise that he endorses the shack
The two books go hand-in-hand

‘The Message’ is a paraphrase of the Bible
It is not a translation—
It does not seek to provide word-for-word translation of
The original Greek and Hebrew texts
But it tries and interpret the feeling of the language
That was present in the original texts without changing the text
Peterson himself does admit, “I do take considerable liberties.”
This attitude has led to a deviation from the truth

Bible Translations are never a one-man job.
To produce a Bible translation requires a team of
Many scholars closely working together—
Pulling apart the original texts and their variations etc.
One-man-jobs are easy and quicker, but more prone to error and bias

The Message bible appear to be his interpretation
Those who are familiar will Hebrew and Greek will
Quickly notice the error of some of his interpretations
