Think

What do we think about each day? Is it living or dying? Do we think about who have hurt us or who it is that have brought joy to our lives? What is it that we conceive, imagine, or meditate on each day? A lot of questions to ponder right?

Humans think pretty much like their creator. Children learn what they live and pattern their lives after that. What they live is what is being planted in their minds and I promise you they will in one way or another fulfill what has been embedded in them from an early age. We as parents do not realize that we are branding our children for life.

Most people think on things that they should not and remember only the things they want to remember. Except we think on the things of God in the foremost parts of our minds we will not pick up our Bible and read it until something bad happens in our lives. We do not think on God until we need Him to do something for us. I wonder how He must feel! Things conceived early on in life enters the imagination and is meditated upon throughout the life of man. We must train our thought patterns. A learned behavior is hard to break once it is implanted in the roots of the mind. You cannot train an old elephant, but a baby one can be trained. Like wise the mind of human. We cannot think ourselves to be something if we have not been taught that we can be something.

Thinking sober on the things needed in this life for survival will bring one to a peace of mind. But when we think on things we ought not to think brings about a lot of pain. We think out of the confines of our hearts. We hurt in our hearts and we also hurt others out of the heart. So then what we think on will enter into our heart before it is acted out. Nothing can be acted out without proper meditation that have not been thought out. A wrong thought also can die where it starts if our thinking is in a right state. We can think no evil where evil does not abide in the heart. A person cannot commit adultery except the thought has been meditated upon.

If we believe that we have eternal life then we will think on it until that time comes. No one can take away your goals for life except you give up your vision for whatever it is that you are imagining to do. Philippians 4:8 says we are to think on these things. Finally brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
