We have seen some people saying. “I don’t need the help of any one. I can manage everything myself.” But when we analyze practically we can understand how difficult it is. Human life is built upon this relationship. We are indebted to so many for our survival. We depend upon the agriculturist to produce grains for our food. We need the help of others to get our clothes and to have a place to live in.

An old man before his death said, “In my long life I could get the relationship of many good people. I consider this as the greatest wealth I have acquired in my life.” It is cent percent true. Those who are filled with selfishness and pride, in whatever position they might be, cannot maintain good relationship with others.

Shortcut to achieve good relationships

Considering others, bearing with them and treating them with due respect is the secret of achieving good relationships. When we consider others with love and respect even enemies will be changed.

Jesus the role model of relationship

Jesus has shown us the way to build up good relationships. He loved even those who were against him. He said, “Love your enemies.”(Matthew 5:44) Love was his golden rile of building up and maintaining relationships. He was not selfish in his relationships. He was not partial in any way. He loved all without any disparity. Rich or poor, male or female, high or low all were equal to him. Nobody was an outcast from his circle of love. Zaccheus who was a tax collector and hated by people was loved by him. He treated his betrayer Judas with great love. That is why throughout centuries he could establish a loving place in millions of hearts.

The mantra of Jesus to build up relationships

The mantra or the golden rule of his building up relationships was. “Do to others whatever you would that others do to you.” In every one we find the image of God or our own replica and do good deeds to them.

Six tips to build up good relationship

1) Wish sincerely the wellness of those who are involved in your life. Selfishness or jealousy should not affect this relationship in any way. Then only it will be possible to think of others’ good.
2) Keep your face smiling. Smile is the index of your heart. A gloomy look and a worried face cannot keep up good relationship.
3) Remember the name of those who move with you. Ones name is the best word he likes in his language. Addressing one by name can make relationships stronger.
4) Be willing to listen more. When others speak pay heed to them sincerely. Show your interest in their welfare. Your disregard in listening them may shatter your relationship.
5) Express your interest in listening to them through your words. That will enable them to appreciate your concern towards them.
6) Never degrade or look down on any one. Inferiority complex has broken up many good relations.

These tips are to enable us to build up good relationships. Our own life should be sincere and straightforward based on real love that Jesus has prescribed us.
