Reflections

We are each given wonderful gifts and talents. To some the gift of speaking in front of others. To another it may be math or the ability to invent to ideas and projects. I believe these gifts are given to us so we can give them away.
You might think that’s an odd thing to say. Why would we want to give a gift away? We are all united. No matter where we live or our situation. We were all born to make this world a little better place.
We are born to not only take care of ourself but our brothers and sisters. When using this phrase I mean every human being. We are all brothers and sisters, are we not? We all share being alive on earth and there are some of us who need extra care.
I am told that when someone is depressed or lonely, one of the best things to do is reach out to someone. It gets our mind off of our own problems and puts our focus on those who are so thirsty for compassion and understanding. It gives us a sense of purpose knowing someone is counting on us.
So today let’s think of our brothers and sisters and see how we can use our gifts to help someone else. I promise it will make you feel like you have tried no matter what the response may be.

Our heart yearns
Our soul cries
out for it's creator
We open ourselves
to the holy
presence of love
Then without delay
a holy fire
engulfs our being
A blaze of love
envelops our heart
and soul!
It overwhelms and
can not be contained!
It has to light the world
It has to set a
fire of compassion
until all humanity is ignited with the fire of love!
