James 1:4 AMP
But let endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a thorough work, so that you may be [people] perfectly and fully developed [with no defects], lacking in nothing.

Football is a very difficult game to play. Players get hit hard-run a lot-get leg cramps-get flipped in the air and pushed, shoved and kicked. And that’s just at practice with their team mates.

To play football you must have endurance. Endurance means: the ability or strength to continue or last, despite fatigue, stress, or other adverse conditions. Football players must be able to practice day after day and play hard for hours.

In our lives we must have endurance also. What might we have to endure? I’m glad you asked. We will have to endure work or friendships, sickness, or being ridiculed because of or faith. Sometimes it will be difficult to have the endurance of a good football player but the bible says to cast the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him (Jesus), for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully. (1 Peter 5:7 AMP)

This is good news! When we lack endurance, we can throw all our cares on Jesus just as the quarterback throws a football. Then Jesus will take our cares and help us to be fully developed players in this game of life.

Always remember that you will get a touchdown with Jesus on your team.
