U is for Ur

While you have the Light, believe in the Light [have faith in it, hold to it, rely on it], that you may become sons of the Light and be filled with Light.

How would you like to live in a city named Ur? That would be funny telling your friends and relatives, “I live in Ur.” Well guess what. Abraham lived in the land of Ur. I know Ur sounds funny but it does have a cool meaning. It means “light”. With that meaning we could say, “Ur = light”. And to make it more interesting we could take away the = sign and say, “U r light”. Or we could say, “You are light”. And this statement is true. How is this true, you may ask? I’m glad you asked. The bible says that Jesus is the Light of the world and Jesus lives in us. So that makes us little Lights.

Wow! That means we can be a light to the kids around us at school. Being respectful to teachers and others is being a light. Cleaning up after yourself in the classroom or lunch room is being a light.

Now that you have learned that U R Light, let your light shine bright at school.
