JOHN The ANOINTER (Luke 3 NKJV and The Message Bible with imagination)

John came preaching at Death Valley, saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of God is at hand.” (He was in the wilderness because that is our spiritual condition today - barren. “Christianity” in America is an inhospitable culture of crosses, commercialism and self-righteous arrogance - while being ignorant of the One symbolized. There are a lot of “loveless” people taking the name of Christ. Some “Christians” carry hate signs, shoot people with views they oppose, and many believe they are “pretty good people” just as the Israelites of old thought they were superior while rejecting Christ.)

John spoke, saying “Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance, and do not begin to say to yourselves ‘We are from the Holy Mother Church’ or ‘We are saved - and once saved always saved’” What counts is your life - is it green and blossoming? Because if it’s deadwood, it goes on the fire. Do not begin to say ‘We’ll be raptured away from the suffering’ or ‘The homosexuals and the abortionists are the real sinners.’ If you have two homes, give one away - the same with your lands. Don’t say ‘I pray to Mother Mary and the Saints,’ or ‘I am a good person,’ for God can make believers from these stones if He wants.” “Christianity” in America is a culture - and much of it is not based on solid Scriptures. In the 1900s, American “Christianity” as a whole was against a woman’s right to vote in the 1920's, against civil rights in the 1950s and 1960s and against gender rights in the 1980s. It would have been on the correct side of the issues in the 1900s if it were based on the Bible instead of on the status quo. In the 1900s, it took Secular Humanists, using the principles of equality from the New Testament, to make “Christians” live by the teachings of their own Book, didn’t it? “Repent, leaders, no more extortion...no shakedowns and no blackmail.

Don’t say the Church is Infallible and has never erred, even the Pharisees and Sadducees weren’t that arrogant! The history of Israel certainly disproves that religious fantasy. I am anointing you here in the valley as you confess your sins, but the Spirit longs to pour out the Latter Rain with power on those who repent. He’s going to clean house - make a clean sweep of your lives. He’ll place everything true in its proper place before God; everything false He’ll put out with the trash to be burned. Don’t say we do the works of Joseph Smith, Ellen White, Mary Baker Eddy or the Watchtower. What you need is to be born from above...a baptism into a new spirit and life...to enter Gods Kingdom. (John 3 Message Bible). “He who has the Son has life” (1 John 5: 12 NKJV) “If someone says, ‘I love God’ and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God, whom he has not seen?” (1 John 4: 20 NKJV) Repent, for the kingdom of God is at hand...and bear fruits worthy of repentance.”


Israel of old rejected Heavens call for repentance through John the Baptist, out in the wilderness. Therefore they have wandered in a wilderness experience on earth for almost 2000 years. What about America today, will we chose to continue in a religious “wilderness” experience, or will we learn from Israel’s mistake? Pray to God that we have learned something over the past 2000 years.
