PROTEIN?"

...our MOLECULES...?
...TOGETHER?"

[NOD.]
[LOVING GAZE.]

(Shake rumpled head,

COINCIDENCE."

[INTENSE GAZE.]
[GENTLY CURIOUS
VOICE.]
"Of what,

THAT SHAPE!
NEAH."

[LOOKING DOWN
UPON INTELLIGENT
CHILD, WITH THE
HEINZ-57 CAT IN HER
LAP.]

"Uh, UH.
Neah.
Hm, hm;
that's just a COINCIDENCE."

[SILENCE.]

(Shrug.)
"That's just another
way of LOOKING at it,
that's all."

[GAZING OUT UPON
HIS SMALL UNIVERSE.]
[TOUCH ONE OF THE
FIRES BURNING,
INCESSENTLY,
ON THE SURFACE
OF THE SUN.]
[NODDING.]

"That's all.
That's all it is."

[CARESSING A TIP
OF A WAVE,
UPON THE EARTH.
THE SAND BENEATH
TREMBLES,
AT HIS TOUCH.]

"WEIRD."
(Rueful grimace.)

[CARESSING A TIP
OF A HAIR,
ON HIS CHILD'S
HEAD. IT MOVES,
SLIGHTLY,
IN THE INVISIBLE
MOLECULE OF BREEZE.]
"Yes,
child."
[TENDER VOICE.]
"It Is...
Very
Weird."
