It is human to expect results immediately after we do things. There are many reasons expectation of human nature. It is natural for us to feel important and get things done as early as possible makes us to be impatient. Even the commercial advertisements of modern TV channels tell us to hurry up to get the advantages of the best deal available- “available only for today”.
But God acts in a different way. He is not for our sense of hurrying up. When we mean ‘quick’ God seems to say ‘slow’. When we are forced to feel to say ‘now’ God seems to say ‘later’. This is what we see in the Holy Scriptures- patience is the center of the whole Holy Bible.

Patience does not mean laziness
Patience never means that we are expected to be lazy. But, in fact, patience means waiting. But it is not passively waiting, which becomes laziness. It is to keep going when the going is hard and slow. We see Abraham was promised a son. But he had to wait with hope for more than 25 years. King David was promised of crowning. But he had to wait for more than ten years after the pursuits of Saul.

Just wait patiently and see after your hard work
Always remind yourself that things take their own time. People who are impatient are people who insist on getting the results immediately and they think that waiting is a waste of time. However, it is a fact that certain things just cannot be rushed. Just think about the happiest memories you have. They might have been instances when your patience paid off, like when you worked steadily towards a goal that was not immediately gratifying, or took a little extra time to spend leisurely with your loved one. Think over what would have been those memories if you had been impatient. Almost anything really good in life takes time and dedicated hard work. If you are impatient, you are more likely to give up on relationships, goals, and other things that are most important to you. Remember, good things may not always come to those who wait, but most good things that do come do not come right away.

The fruits of patience are always sweeter
You take a little seed, plant it and take care of it for a whole year, and nothing happens.
The second year you water and take care of it and nothing happens.
The third year you water it and take care of it and nothing happens. How frustrated and discouraged you become!
The fourth year also you water it and take care of it and nothing happens. This makes you completely dejected and lost.
But you continue your hard work with hope to water and take care of the seed in the fifth year also and then sometime during the fifth year, you will see the Chinese bamboo tree sprouts and grows ninety feet just in six weeks!
