Today I picked you flowers,
lovely, fragrant, free,
a bouquet from God's garden
and I hope they bring you peace,
some sense of contentment,
put a smile upon your face,
in some way lift your spirit...
a mixed arrangement, this bouquet.
I'm wishing I could hand them to you
but you live so far away.
I'm wishing I could hug you,
how I wish I could be there...
I can't, so I've sent these flowers
on the wings of prayer,
a bouquet of many blessings,
faith, hope and charity,
a prayer, a hug, a loving smile
sent to you from me.
God, send sunshine into this heart
with enough rain to keep things green,
a gentle breeze, the songs of birds
to keep this soul serene.
I pray for you ten thousand blessings.
In thought we're never far apart.
I send you hope and peace and joy
and this bouquet from my heart.
