Time to run

“I will run the way of your commands, for you open my docile heart.” [Psalm 119.32 NASB]

David was a clear thinker. He knew what he wanted to do and he also knew what was restricting him from fulfilling his desire.

The fear which David previously had, had passed. Now it was the time to run in the right direction.

After Elijah’s great victory on Mount Carmel the enemy launched an all-out attack on him and brought him down to a state of weakness and inability.

Do you feel that the enemy has tried to restrict you in every way possible and now as a result of his strategic warfare against you, you are now enclosed in a tight place and getting less and less resistant in your mind against his insinuations.

When Elijah was in a similar condition, God spoke to him and he was spiritually and mentally reactivated and recommissioned to His work.

Is it possible that you are weary in your inner man? The conflict has been long and every day it seems that you are losing ground. What do you need to do?

Make David’s words your prayer and then you will be able to run in His strength, leave the enemy in your wake and more than make up for the lost time.

An open heart is receptive to an open heaven and an open heaven signifies that there is nothing in your way. Therefore, run and do not stop. [David McArdle]
