CHAPTER THREE: Home Sweet...Fantasy?
I couldn't take it all in. This old, wizened old guy knew the owner of a dragon...if somebody had told me that i was gonna meet a dragon a few days ago, i would have laughed at them in there face, but now...it was just too much. I couldn't take all this new information into my mind, it seemed as if i was on overdrive, and i just couldn't handle all this. I fainted. I know it's not very manly like to faint, but who is thinking of looking like a man, when he faints...not me. The lights dimmed, but not right away. The last thing i remember hearing, before i went into this deep sleep, was "Ohh, he's alright...probably never seen a real live dragon before." It sounded like the words came from the old man, but he couldn't tell...for he was now in lala land.

When i next awoke, i saw that i was on my bed, in my old bedroom, with the usual sounds around me...like the sound of sword fighting, and the thuding of arrows...wait. That wasn't right, at master Drix' house, there was no sound of swords...and then, thats when it all came rushing back too me, all of it. And then i got a sickening feeling, that i was in one of my worst nightmares, except, this time, i wouldn't be able to just wake up, and it be over. ohh noo, this was no dream, i wouldn't get off the hook that easily...this...this was for real. And anyway's, this was not as bad as a dream. It's not as if the dragon was gonna suddenly crave human boy, and come find me, and eat me for an appetizer...at least, thats what i hoped.

I don't know why i had mistaken this place for my old bedroom, back home. It didn't look anything like home. For one, i didn't hear master drix calling for me, so he could give me one more of his otherworldly jobs. Like cleaning the whole house, while feeding every single animal that master drix had, which is alot. And, to top it all off, making me cook a meal, good enough for his colleagues. He made me do that once. But i would have gladly taken that job, so that i could go back to the normal, and not this. But thats not what happened.

And secondly, i didn't have my own bedroom. Ohh sure, i had a place, that was bearly big enough for my bed, but it had no privacy. There was no door, and so usualy at nights, master drix' dog would come licking my toes, at odd hours in the night, waking me up. It wasn't the poor dogs fault, it was just, i don't know, NO PRIVACY. But this place...it might have been just a small tent, but it was bigger then my old room, and now, i had privacy. Kind of. It wasn't really doors, it was tent flaps, but i was grateful for anything. And thats when my sense of privacy was blown out of the water.

Andrik came barreling in, his arms full of a...bundle, of sorts. I couldn't exactly tell, for he was all over the place. "Well now, Damion , you gave me quite a small scare, with your stunt back there." Andrik seemed to be everywhere at once. One minute, he was holding the bundle, the next he was bringing a cup of some sort towards me. It turned out to be a cup of water, mixed with herbs and such, "pleasing to the bones," Andrik explained, even while he was on to his next chore, which happened to be, proding me out of bed, which i didn't expecialy like. "Ohh come on Damion, you need to get up, you have a meeting with the council of the three kingdoms, and we must not keep them waiting. I remember one time, when i was young like you..." He just kept rambling on, bearly stopping to take a breath. In no time, i was up and ready. Dressed in atire, that seemed fitting for a kingdoms servant. I was wearing all black, except for a blood red belt, and blood red stockings.

And then we were out the door, Andrik was still talking. "...And you should have seen her face when Rupert went to one knee, she could bearly keep the tears from springing to her face, and of course she said yes, but not after rupert..." He was almost worse then the maids that i had over heard talking, when i was back in Master Drix' house.

This time, as i followed Andrik, he didn't hold my hand. As if he knew that i wouldn't run away...which i was very tempted to do. But i didn't. And then, thats when we came up to another tent. In we went. What i saw, which i will put plainly, WAS AMAZING. I don't know how else to tell you, it blew my mind. What i saw were real live, breathing, living, right-in-front-of-my-face...WIZARDS AND WITCH'S.
