Poetry
On a steep hill high atop Mount Calvary
Stood the Cross of the Savior of the world.
A symbol of incomprehensible love
Amidst all the suffering and pain.
At the foot of the Cross
Stood His Mother and most loved disciple.
Watching His heart bleed for us
Grief piercing their own.
It was a Royal Cross
On which the power & might
Of the King of this world was displayed.
Not with pomp and splendor
But through bruises and stripes.
It was a Glorious Cross
Which bore the wounds of the Lamb of God.
A cross on which salvation was won for all
Healing and redeeming mankind forever.
