Don’t Let the Cat Out of the Bag

"My transgression is sealed up in a bag, and thou sewest up mine iniquiry." Job 14:17 KJV

Letting the proverbial “cat out of the bag” conjures up pictures of paws and claws flying everywhere. God help us if we are in the way of the cat’s exit from the bag. The cat will come out full of fight and fly up in our faces!

I am so glad God has sealed my sins up in a bag and does not let them out to fly up in my face. He has covered our iniquity with the precious blood of Jesus. We have become whiter than snow to the eyes of our Father…all because of what Christ accomplished on that cross.

Beloved, just think about it! God made the plan and the provision. Jesus willingly became the sacrifice. The Holy Spirit drew our attention to our lost-ness and pointed us to the Saving Grace of God. Wow! What a Trinity!

“Father, I thank you for Your perfect Plan of Salvation. Thank you that you do not ever throw our sins up in our faces as a reminder of our past. Help me to understand that it is only Satan that would “let the cat out of the bag” to remind me of my past and cause me to question my salvation. Amen”
