“Short Promises”

“Short Promises”



Short promises are short because they don’t last. We make them not to last. We make them, than we break them. Some of our “new year resolution” promises don’t even last till the third month of the year. Ouch!

And when the short lived promises are suddenly begin vanishing, we often wonder who we should be blame for it..?….well, at least I have done that before. But again these promises can be corrected as long as we seek it from the right Source. The opposite of short promises are the long term promises. I mean, Eternal Promises.

Just look upon these few….



God Promises You Everlasting Life:



Psalm 23;6

Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me
all the days of my life,
and I will live in the house of the Lord
forever.





John 3;16



“For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.



God Promises You Forgiveness:



Hebrews 8;12

And I will forgive their wickedness,
and I will never again remember their sins.”



Jeremiah 33;8

I will cleanse them of their sins against me and forgive all their sins of rebellion.



God Promises You Love:



Romans 8;38-39

And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[o] neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.



Ephesians 5;1-2

Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. 2 Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us[a] and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.





God Promises You Miracles:



Mark 16;19-20

When the Lord Jesus had finished talking with them, he was taken up into heaven and sat down in the place of honor at God’s right hand. 20 And the disciples went everywhere and preached, and the Lord worked through them, confirming what they said by many miraculous signs.
