Poetry
The rain plays its melancholic rhythm
The wind whispers in my ears with its welcome
As I sit here thinking of my freedom
The steel bars gave an icy chill
The corridor let out a lifeless feel
I had better strengthen my will
The residents waiting for the cull
Their screams is void with null
Their future is grey and dull
The roaring storm is coming
My heart cries as voices ring
How I wish I had a pair of wings
Staring at the wrinkled worn out photograph
Thinking about my family and the things we used to laugh
Before they came with dignified smirks and handcuffs
A dozen whips and slashes were not adequate
They had me choked and let me suffocate
Without a sign of pity, mercy and zero compensate
All I have left is memories of the past
It was good till it lasts
Funny how time flies so fast
Now all I can do is glance
If I were given a chance
I would ask my beloved to give me one last dance
Guess this is life's game
I am to take the blame
For the man who put me in this frame
I will not forget this shame
God will remember his name
Hell will let his body rot and burn in eternal flame
Even though I am alone all by myself
Whenever the clock strike twelve
I'll be in the land of the seven dwarfs
Dreams are the only keys to unlock my cell
Where I will be by the wishing well
Wishing one day I will hear my own ringing of church bells
I am happy in this land
My fairy godmother will lend me a hand
Here I have friends that understand
When I am here I can be with her
Having fun together and forever
And live happily ever after
Call me a dreamer
Say that I'm a loser
But I'm not going to wait here
But the guards came
They yell for my name
Guess I had to play their game
As I give a final glance
Say goodbye to my second chance
Sorry my dear, fate doesn't want you and me to dance
My words will be a part of the past
But our eternal love will live on and last
Hope my suffering will be quick and fast
I hope it will be adequate
I hope I won't suffocate
I hope God will compensate
I think of my family photograph
I try to laugh
But silenced by the handcuffs
I can feel death coming
The moment I step into the ring
They cut off my wings
This is the place they cull
My voice is null
My eyes are dull
I can feel the deathly chill
Numbness is all I feel
I lost my fighting will
Death starts playing its rhythm
He embraces me in his welcome
At last my soul will enjoy freedom
This is the path I did not choose
As I struggle on the noose
My neck begins to feel loose
As my mind comes to a swirl
I see my one and only girl
As I bid farewell to the world
