Held tightly
I gripped my heart
Like a ship releases its anchor
A jarring event
And then another
Causes a wall to crack
In comes the night
The wolves and raven
To strip the vault of hope
An angel stands
In the gap of my soul
Shoring up the slope
For I had chosen
To gird my loins
With the only thing of worth
The strength to choose
Through Spirit renewed
Bounds me from this earth
