Today I must hand in my resignation
Without any form of doubt or hesitation
Because I’ve come to realize and understand
That the work I’ve been performing is not in God’s plan.
So, Satan, consider my work with you done
Because I now know that I wasn’t really having fun,
But instead putting my soul at risk of being lost
By allowing you to be my boss.
You can take your job and shove it
Because I find that I no longer love it.
All the lies you required that I tell
While adding up the cost I’d pay in hell;
All of the rumors you made me spread,
And all of the confusion that I led
Is no longer a part of the job for my life,
Neither is causing others pain, misery and strife.
All of the homes you lead me to divide,
And all of the assistance to others I denied
Was a plot and scheme for me to lose my soul,
And I now realize that’s your ultimate goal.
All of the people that I treated wrong,
And the many nights I stayed out all night long
Have been forgotten and forgiven
And all of my sins have been washed away instead of hidden.
Satan, you are no longer my boss, and you were never my friend;
Therefore, I terminate our relationship, and it has now come to an end.
It has not been a pleasure working for your hell-located organization,
And I now submit my resignation.
