"My Father's House"

Thinking back, on time thats past
While my memories . . .Churn
I hold to my heart, feelings that last
For that place, that I so yearn

My father's house, I miss the most
Where, from a 'Babe' I was reared
He and my Mother, were the host
Their love and caring, they shared

It was a place, where I was wanted
A place, where I felt such peace . . .
Where my hopes, were never daunted
And the encouragement,never ceased

A love they showed, from deep within
Is an ever present, part of my life
As I remember back, again and again
A love that conquered, trouble or strife

If I could go back, to that time of old
To be encased, in that time and place
I'd experience a happiness, never told
If I could lay eyes, on my loved ones face

Its with reasoning, I know, this can't be
I can only recall them . . .Within my mind
Never on this earth, their faces I'll see
Nor feel once again, their love so kind

Yet. . .I have something to hold onto
In anticipation, I wait to go there
Up into the 'Heavens' beyond the blue
Where there is never a worry, nor tear

Again, Its my 'Father's House' I speak of
My future home . . . A Heavenly place
Oh, so beautiful, and filled with love
With God, on His 'Throne of Grace'

Yes, its my Fathers House, I'll go to
And I'll see my loved ones, once more
We'll rejoice as we spend Eternity
Together, on that Celestial Shore. . .
