Vast the loss that comes from sin,
greater than loss of breath.
Such a loss can't be fathomed,
'till it's known as death.

Death is more than the end,
more than simple cessation.
Death is the child of all sin
bringing a greater separation.
As death of life cleaves soul from flesh,
death of spirit cleaves it from God.
Unless sin is rightly addressed,
both deaths bring the harshest lot.

Our state of life only happened
from our father's choice.
Likewise the choice of ancient Adam,
we're born into this curse.

Since there are two dark deaths
then there need be two bright births.
Each brought forth from like breaths.
As their source, so is their worth.

So second Adam chose to die
to bear us into life.
This gift comes from on high,
borne of sacrifice.

For those borne once will die twice,
despite the value of their deeds.
All borne twice die only once.
A higher death met their needs.
Both births come of a parent,
not of children's will.
This is the way all things are meant.
This way remains still.

As mother's sorrow brings joy of birth,
the Life sorrowed unto death.
This Life rose, revealing His worth
bringing New Birth as His gift.
This New Birth is revealed
in our agreement with the Father.
Thus the Promise has been sealed:
second Adam is our highest Brother.

All births reveal the truth of the born,
they know their identity.
When you die, don't you scorn
what's revealed eternally.
