It grips me from the inside out
tearing my very insides apart
I can't breathe
I can't feel
My lungs gasp for precious sustenance
They gasp in vain
My heart pumps for living flow
It pumps in vein
I fall to the ground
My knees weak
My heart racing but failing
And my eyes dry
Why me?
Why now?
Why do I deserve this?
Was i not faithful to you My God my King?
Did I not serve you..?
I fall to my face
Words escaping me
Thoughts leaving me comfortless
I can find no hope
And I am devoid of life
Wearily I lift my head and then I see Him
His hands outstretched to reveil wounds so deep
He comes to me and grasps the thorn in my side
And with love so tender and words ever echoing
Pronounces over me that His grace is sufficient
I let Him hold me
I can breathe
I can feel
I can see
The pain is there still
But it has ebbed in the knowledge that I stand with Him
I have life, and it's a life full of Him..Jesus
I try to rise only to realize that He is carrying me on wings like eagles..
It's a blessed reality
For I am no longer alone...He is there for me each step of the way...
He is my constant
