Ephesians 2:4-7
“But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.”

“BUT GOD” are only two words; just a simple phrase, but it means so much. Have you ever considered “BUT GOD” in your situation? Regardless of what you may be going through right now, what you have gone through, what you will go through, what you are doing, what you have done, and what you will do, there is a BUT GOD. If you were to consider “BUT GOD” in your situation, you will find that there is no problem that cannot be solve; there is no mountain that cannot be climbed; no river that cannot be crossed; no door shut that cannot be opened; and no way blocked that you can’t be lead around. God is awesome, all-knowing, all-powerful; He holds the reigns of time in His hand; He created each of us and He knows all about us. He knows our going and coming, what side of the bed we sleep on, and even the number of hairs on our heads. So, there is nothing too hard for God, and any and everything is possible with God.
Do you believe that today? If you do you and are facing a situation that seems to be hopeless, you should say to yourself, “BUT GOD”. You may have a bill that is due, and you don’t have the money to pay it. You don’t have the money, BUT GOD has everything you need. He has a cattle on a thousand hills and corn in the fields. Ask God, for, whatever you ask in Jesus’ name, it shall be given. You may have been diagnosed with an illness that the doctors say there is nothing left for them to do but wait. The doctor has given you up, BUT GOD is a healer because the word of God says that by Jesus’ stripes we are healed. God sent Jesus to die so that we may be healed of all sickness. He has healing for a nation. You may have a child that you seem to have lost all control over, and you just want to throw up your hands and give up because you’ve done all you know to do. You have done all that you can do, BUT GOD is able to redeem, save and deliver. Your marriage may seem like it’s on the very verge of breaking up, and you feel that there is nothing left but to file for divorce because you can’t take any more or do any more. You can’t take or do any more, BUT GOD said that what He has joined together, let no man put asunder. You may have some enemies that stay after you, talking about you, putting you down, scandalizing your name, lying on you, and just being nasty to you, and you feel that there is no other way to get them off your back but to retaliate and do unto them as they have done and are doing unto you. You can’t seem to take it any more, BUT GOD said the He would make your enemies your footstool; He also said vengeance belongs to Him. You may be in the need of a physical, spiritual, or financial blessing, and you just can’t get past not-enough and lack in your life; you are convinced that you are destined to live in physical, spiritual or financial poverty. You are willing to settle for less, BUT GOD said that He is Jehovah Jireh, the provider. Satan may be beating you up on every side, and you can’t seem to get the victory. You can’t get the victory on your own, BUT GOD is Jehovah Nissi, He reigns in victory. The storm may be raging in your life, and you can’t seem to experience peace regardless of how hard you try, and how much you seem to believe until you just want to give up. You can’t find peace in what you do, BUT GOD is Jehovah Shalom, the Prince of Peace. I was dirty in sin, BUT GOD washed my sins away with the blood of Jesus. I wasn’t fit to live and wasn’t ready to die, BUT GOD saved me from myself. I messed up so many times, BUT GOD is a God of a second chance. I couldn’t forgive myself and others, BUT GOD forgave me and tossed my transgressions into the sea of forgetfulness. I was hurting so bad that I couldn’t forgive others for treating me so bad, BUT GOD took the pain away and placed forgiveness in my heart. I was confused and had an evil mind, BUT GOD consecrated my mind. My heart was all messed up with hate and evil, BUT GOD created in me a clean heart and renewed in me the right spirit. I was a whoremonger, fornicator, adulterer, BUT GOD sent Jesus to give me water, living water from a well that never runs dry. You may not be able to give up smoking and drinking, BUT GOD can take the taste from your mouth. The load seems heavy, BUT GOD won’t put any more on me than I can bear. I seem to be running out of time, BUT GOD always steps in right on time.
I believe if I could call upon some witnesses from the Bible, Abraham would step forth and tell you that when he was commanded to sacrifice his only son, Isaac, he was at a loss, BUT GOD was found to be a ram in the bush. Daniel would tell you that the lion was a mighty beast, strong and ready devour him, BUT GOD was the key that locked the lions jaw. Shadrach, Meshach and Abindigo would tell you that the fire in the furnace was scortching, hot enough to kill, BUT GOD was the fan that cooled the flame. There is a “BUT GOD” in your situation; regardless of what you are going through, regardless of how bad it seems, it is a test, BUT GOD is the correct answer to every question. We were dying in sin, BUT GOD gave His only begotten Son so that we may have a right to the tree of life.
