Matthew 11:28-30-"Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you. Let Me teach you, because I am humble and gentle and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke fits perfectly and the burden I give you is light." (NLT)

Jesus said this to the crowds of Jews who were following Him. They were struggling under heavy burdens of trying to keep the hundreds of laws imposed on them by their religious leaders.

Today we still struggle under heavy burdens; trying to be what everyone says you should be, trying to do all that needs to be done, trying to make sense out of life.

You can ease the burden of striving on your own by allowing Jesus to help you through whatever life throws at you each day.

Jesus loves you personally and individually as the unique person you are. His yoke is to believe in and trust Him all day every day. He wants to show you how to live with Him in an intimate personal relationship that is deeper and better than any other.

His offer still stands: go to Him, let Him teach you, let Him share your burden, trust Him.

Instead of rules and regulations and the stress of living up to others' expectations - live with Jesus and find peace and rest for your soul.
