The ache of our life
Burdens us so.
The sin o’ our flesh
Sets us so low.

The world sees us as
Duped by divine ruse;
To live for You
Is without use.

When will You come,
Rend us complete,
When will You be here,
To take David’s seat?

In every country,
We’re dispersed abroad,
Persecuted for faith,
In our great God.

They know it’s not true,
And so torture us.
Our only deliverance,
To rise from the dust.

When will You come,
Rend us complete,
When will You be here,
To take David’s seat?

“I bring all promise,
My word to bear,
As You will see me
On clouds o’ the air.
Purify self
With truth o’ My coming.
You’ll be as Me,
Strength for your living.

“Wait for My crushing,
Of Satan’s head,
To send Him to hell,
To render Death dead!”

You will come here,
And make us complete.
We will soon see You,
On David’s seat!
