In the barren, with this heat, 
  while my heart is very cold, 
    comes some moments, feeling complete,
      exchanging youth for the old. 
A little rhythm for the heart,
  some melody for the soul. 
Praising sparked by His Spirit, 
  reminding others we are whole.

Time is forced to stand still. 
Worries left in their tracks. 
Truth is sung, Father-willed,
  singing of the One who's coming back. 
With the measures I feel found. 
The Lord is basking in quarter-time glory. 
The truth is clear and just as sound,
  as we recall the comforting Story.

Before returning to the earth,
  I feel we're flying to higher places. 
For a few minutes of heavenly mirth, 
  we're enjoying a divine oasis.

uniSon (union in the Son of God) is the name of the Christian worship band I got to play percussion for. Friday, Jan. 8, 2010 we played for a Christian business at a posh local restaurant. I've been going through some things so this is written with that in mind about my experience that night.
