Like the river she flows...
The jagged edges of the rocks have a menacing look, the scene is circumscribed with the thick jungles, the sky wears an air of mischief and havoc, but in the midst of it all, the river makes it way home. It is like red riding hood in the woods, unaware of the impending danger. Like a new born infant it gurgles. Several bubbles are born and perished each second. It is a lone traveller, traversing a long path to meet the sea, its destination. Pebbles accompany it a little way, while the tall grasses stand at the banks and bid farewell. The dark stormy sky sees its reflection in the scintillating water and as though cringing at the sight, it sends forth the raindrops to spoil the calm of the river, to raid it and make it swell till it spills out of its course.
The river endures it silently and continues to make its long journey to where she may end her oppressed life. She is also just another woman, being chased by her demons in this hostile world. A woman trying to protect her soul from the slights of this world that dances to the tune of god’s tougher sex.
