Psalm 128 1-3



My Dad started out Living God's plan for his life. My Parents were very active in the church. They walked in his ways. They Ministered, They Loved. Dad had a very good job, volunteered in the fire department, led bible studies and had a mens ministry. It was well with him. He was happy. He had a loving Godly wife, and children that adored him. The Devil is the father of all lies! Christians beware, you have a call on your life ,watch out, stay awake because satan will use anything to get you to walk away from God's plan for your life. He is so sneaky about it, you have no idea it even happened. My dad let alcohol into his life through christmas parties at the fire dept which as soon as he took that first sip, Satan said aha, got him. I believe that was the opening satan was waiting for. Eventually Dad looked foward to the drink more than the fellowship at church. I know that if he had never started drinking, he would still be alive and have a ministry like no other. Satan doesnt attack for nothing. My Family was called for a specific purpose and if it wasnt going to be awesome he wouldnt have bothered messing with us. Dont get me wrong, God's plans never change. He just gave my parents ministry to someone who would follow him. God didnt loose out on that, we did. Yes we. Dad's wife and his kid's also lost out in the Lives God had planned for each of us. One day Dad told my Mom that God wants us to move west. Im going to quit my job, sell the house and move west.No one had peace about that, Our pastor, church family and my Mom all asked Dad to wait and really seek God . He didn't. He wanted to go and that's it we are going. Satan lied. He just wanted to get my parents away from God's plan. He knew if he didnt many lives would be changed, and many people saved. Dad believed the lie and we left. It was fun traveling, but soon the money ran out and he couldnt find a job. So what did he do? Got mad at God of course. Instead of asking God to forgive him for walking away he blamed God for not helping him and gave up on God. Just what Satan had planned all along. Soon Dad lost everything. He lost his wife, he lost controll of his kid's, and most important of all lost his faith. Dad suffered with alcoholism his whole life. Instead of having the blessed life God intended for him, he had a lost, lonely, bitter, hard life.

In the last year of his life he had " his own personal relationship with Jesus" and truly was sorry for walking away from his relationship with God. But what a waste of years. Dont miss what God has for you and your Family
