In this week's NUGGETZ,I have chosen to share a poem with you titled :THE
CRY OF ADAM. I pray it blesses your hearts and much more than that, cause
a stirring within you.Let's now take a trip into the Garden of Eden, just
moments after Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit and discovered that
they were naked.Satan had crept in and introduced them into the gory
realities and decietfulness of the momentary pleasure which sin
offerred.
They had been hoodwinked.Their eyes had opened. They had lost out.Sin had
destroyed the nature of God within them. They tried to cover their
nakedness:ie the sin that stole their holiness they inherited from
God.All they could find were decaying leaves to cover them selves. They
were ashamed.Adam was much more,he just had to hide.He cried when he
heard the voice of God as He strolled into the garden.....It was a cry of
destitution!!!!

THE CRY OF ADAM
In the cool of the evening
In the sombre descent of the rays
I heard your voice
From the place of my hiding

Being escorted by the guards of sin
In fear and utter shame
In tears and sorrowful despair
I hid from you Lord of all the earth

My light is gone
Your life in me ebbs
Shadows now screen me
From your lovely but fiery face
I am hollow and empty without you

Deep within I long and yearn
For the glory that enveloped me
Like a cloak crafted in heaven
Which adorned me within and without
Deep within I hunger and thirst for you
To fill me once again with your essence

Let not my tears be disdained by you lord
Break the heavens, chase the clouds away
That I may behold your face once again
And be allowed just for once
Into your garden so blissful
Where Eve was the love of my life

The "Cry of Adam" is a universal cry for God.No man can be emotionless
not to admit this.It speaks of the sorrow the human soul has been
subjected to by sin.We suffer and struggle. We're encumbered by
wars,hatred,tribulations,hunger,oppression,poverty,insecurity,and all
kinds of woes.
The whole world cries for justice and fairness, but an end to violence
seems far from sight.
Until we are re-admitted into God's presence,we may not have that peace
which we desperately need that flows from him alone .
But some centuries ago,a Jewish Rabbi cried out with a loud voice,"Come
unto me all ye that are labour and are heavy laden......and I will give
rest to your souls!".And today,he still hears those that cry the "CRY OF
ADAM" to give them that sort of peace that comes with the full assurance
that their sins have been forgiven them.Such peace is available to
everyone that listens to this rabbi(Jesus Christ), who in another
ocassion cried out with a loud voice, "IT IS FINISHED!!".
Unlike Adam's,His cry was for the restoration of man back to the status
quo ante experienced by Adam and Eve at the garden of eden long before
satan crept in to introduce them into the world of sin and its gory
consequencies.

May this peace that passes all understanding flood your heart as you go
about your daily endeavours this week. But do not neglect the cry of your
human soul which hungers and yearns for the reality of God and His
presence in your life!!!!
Cheers and cheerio.
Till I come your way again,I still remain

One of the most profound christian experiences is the deep regret after sinning. Thank God our God is a compassionate and merciful Father. Wonderful poem, well composed articulating grace in its ethos.
