The Transfiguration

The Lord loved the company of the select three
Took Peter, James and John to witness the Father’s testimony
Other disciples missed the opportunity to see
The vision of transfiguration sent by God, the Father

As they prayed on the high mountain
Like the previous testimony at the Baptism in Jordan River
It was time for Christ to be revealed again
But now in the presence of Moses and Elijah

Jesus affirms the Law and the Prophets
He did not come to abolish the Law
But by His precious blood, to fulfill it
Grace and mercy makes the difference

So as they chatted, His face and clothes shone
Dazzling white like the Sun!
And the voice of God came from the cloud
“This is my beloved Son”

Peter in his confusion felt within him, Oh!
“The visitors need to spend more time”
Called for three tents for Jesus, Moses, and Elijah
Only for the guests to suddenly vanish into thin air
And they all kept their secret so!
