Be Blessed Dear Friend,



“The Effort within”



Effort is the key to success in any area of life, including within our spiritual life as well. Think about it for a second….

Having your quiet times daily…that is an effort.

Make it on time and going to Church….that is an effort.

Sorting out our priorities, meaning that we accept that we are not the most important persons in the universe….that is an effort. (big one!)

Accepting God’s Call and do whatever He is Calling us to do, yes, …..that is an effort.



Would we choose to live our life without making these efforts? Rather not …and that is an effort too. (my opinion)



“The Effort within”



And sometimes when we need constant inspirations to continue making the above efforts, I have found it actually in the story of The Three Wise Men from the Bible. What an effort that three Kings has done.



(Gospel of Matthew chapter 2 verse 1-2 & 9-12NLT)



Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the reign of King Herod. About that time some wise men from eastern lands arrived in Jerusalem, asking, “Where is the newborn king of the Jews? We saw his star as it rose, and we have come to worship him.”



Yes, and they had followed that Star for days…what an effort, right?



“After this interview the wise men went their way. And the star they had seen in the east guided them to Bethlehem. It went ahead of them and stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they were filled with joy! They entered the house and saw the child with his mother, Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasure chests and gave him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

When it was time to leave, they returned to their own country by another route, for God had warned them in a dream not to return to Herod.



Taking a “D-tour” going home after a tiring trip already, the word effort might just ring the bell?



Psalm 90 verse 17 (NLT)



And may the Lord our God show us his approval
and make our efforts successful.
Yes, make our efforts successful!
