11/8/09 Sunday Sermon/Minister Chris: Education
Amos 1:1-15, I Col 1:16-17, II Thess 3:6-15, I Cor 2:1-15

The education system is bad when all the focus is on book knowledge and not on spiritual knowledge. There needs to be three things in education:

1) Knowledge of God : I Col 1:16-17
God is before all things and God’s word is always true. There is much proof of the Word being true. There have been discoveries of stones of the Jericho wall and Egyptian chariot wheels in the Red Sea. We need to dig, read and study God’s word to educate ourselves.

2) Knowledge of Service: II Thess 3:6-15
We should have a purpose to help others. The church is to provide services to others in need. People are to work and labor for the Kingdom of God. God calls people for a purpose ..for a service. God is all powerful and knows everything.

3) Knowledge of Life: I Cor 2:1-15
We should live life for God and Jesus. We will get scars thru life but will have stories to tell. Wisdom comes from life experiences that we can share with others. We need to learn how to live the Christian life so we can share the goodness of Jesus with all people.
