Apologetics
Much in life can influence who we think God is and who we think God should be, but nothing in life can change the reality of who God is. We do no create God. God did not spring forth from a culmination of our beliefs. God did not become God. There is no such thing as a custom God. God cannot be fully described, but can be fully loved. What God has given is all that we have. What God has spoken is all that exists.
What an eternal tragedy to have only known the god of your own making. To have only known the god of your religious practices or the one "magical" prayer you said. What an eternity of unrelenting despair purchased by your own self deception to hear the most damning words that could ever be spoken by a God who wanted to be your Lord.
