Sitting and thinking of the past
Of loves forgotten and broken dreams
You said that with strength we could move mountains
And courage we could lead
But the future looks dim
And I think, "Where did You go?"

The road is never easy
The path is never straight
We get twisted answers and crooked lies
From the world of pride
You said You would be with me always
To lead me on, but where did You go?

Countless memories and familiar friends
My heart is closed, but searching for an end
When I fall down, and I feel no one around
Your voice reigns to my deepest pain
"Look around, nothing surrounds you.
I never left, but where did you go?"
