ENGLISH CONVERSATION,

[TENDER VOICE.]

"All that GREEK,
and HEBREW

King JAMES STUFF,
really gets in the way!"

[PATIENT GAZE.]

that EARTHQUAKE,
LORD?"
(Glare up at the ceiling.)
"Why d'You have to
HURT PEOPLE,
like THAT?
WHY?"

"Who is
the Lord,
child?"

(Look away.)
"I'm just TIRED:
of having
this... WRATHFUL GOD!
EVERYBODY'S
TIRED of IT!"

[LONG SILENCE.]
[QUIET VOICE.]
"Then,
read My Word,
child."

"WHY?
It doesn't make
the SUFFERING STOP!"

"No.
But,
perhaps you'll
see some
Love,
There."
