really SERIOUS,
all the time,
LORD?"

[GAZE AT A LITTLE
POODLE BARKING,
ON A SMALL DARK
STREET
IN SAN ANTONIO.]
"No."

(Frown!)
(Suspicious look.)
"So,
WHAT'S this STUFF,
about,
ANYWAY?"

[SILENCE.]

"You're not gonna
TELL ME,
ARE YA?"

[SILENCE.]

(Suspicious squint.)
(Scrowl.)
(Yell.)
"YEAH?
So.....
where do the
JEWS,
FIT IN,
to ALL THIS?"

"Where
they always have,
My beloved."

(Glare towards the ceiling.)
(Angry yell.)
"YEAH?
WHERE?"

[QUIET VOICE.]
"Right Here;
in the
Palm
of
My Hand."

God
has given them
a spirit of stupor.
Eyes that
they should not see.
And ears
that
they should not hear.

very day.
