And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Corinthians 13:13


February 14th is celebrated as Valentine’s Day, that warm and wonderful day letting those we know and love that we love them unconditionally. So why limit such expressions of affection to just this one day? Why not say something that expresses this same message as often as we can?

It is really not difficult! A single paragraph, phrase or sentence will do. For example:

“I’m very proud of you.”
“I feel safe when I’m with you.”
“Thank you for being you.”
“You have a beautiful and wonderful way of saying things.”
“Just your presence is a joy to me.”
“Life is incomplete with you.”
“The words you say are a comfort to me.”

See how simple it is? You can come up with some phrases or thoughts of your own! There is really no reason why you can’t keep the spirit of God’s unconditional love that Valentine’s Day expresses throughout the year! Happy Valentine’s Day to all!


Prayer: Today, O Lord, make me an instrument of your love and peace in simple ways to everyone in my presence.
