Design-ed to serve God

Funny isn’t it how one’s mind can connect to a certain word and not let it go? I could have written a book on this one word with all the thoughts I’ve had concerning its awesome truth about the Master Designer, our Creator of the Universe and our Lord of Lords. What started out as simple “designed” project of writing an article on the word design, to become so complex amazes me as I ponder all my inner thoughts on the topic?

Everything to me has a message from above; the question I have is what is He trying to show me about the subject that I need further revelations on?

The Bible tells us in Psalms 139:15-16; that the Creator knew us before we were even formed in our mother’s womb, He knew all of our days even then. That alone is enough to chew on awhile for my finite mind, much less ever hope to totally comprehend His awesome power this side of heaven.

He is the Master Designer of the whole Universe; there is no one like Him or ever will be period. He hung the stars, the sun and moon and all of the galaxies in space, He created all the mountains as well as the oceans and dry land, we can only touch and observe their beauty after thousands of years.

A good example of this would be the recent landing on the planet Mars. It has taken man all these years to develop technology and make a machine to have the ability to even get that far, plus it takes six months of traveling in space to get to the planet. While the Creator placed the planet in its own space in heaven with all the other planets in their own spaces and they keep on their flight path without further instructions. I know I’m very limited in my abilities, but I do recognize completely that He is Unlimited in all of His.

We are told in the Word of God that all Creation was finished on the sixth day and He rested on the seventh from all His work. That means our Creator knew us even while in the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve, every generation that has followed He knew at the creation date of the first man and woman. Some believe that to be thousands of years ago, while others think the earth is millions of years old. For me that debate is pointless and not important at all, the simple fact is that common sense should tell us it took a power beyond our own limited abilities to accomplish it all. I’ve never met another human with that type of ability, have you?

We even have historical documentation that Jesus fulfilled accurately all the prophecies about His ministry and exactly on time. And that’s not even counting all the other things prophesied that came about right on time and exactly as it had been prophesied hundreds and even thousands of years before it came about. The remaining prophecies in the Bible not yet fulfilled, I know will be just as timely and completed as well. Now that’s what I call an awesome design by the Master Designer Himself.

Our feeble effort to design anything is limited to our simple human abilities that the Creator gave to us in the first place, but they were given for a purpose, and that was to serve Him. We are all called to be fisherman of the lost and unsaved while we are still in this world.

The greatest promise given to mankind is found in the Bible verse found John 3:16 ; For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

That was his planned design for mankind all along, God loves us and wants us to come home to Him when our earthly journey is over. Now that’s what I call awesome designing.
