See the end from the beginning
We don’t see the whole picture
And things look different down here.

Try to remember, Jehovah, we aren’t
The alpha and the Omega
Our thinking is “contaminated” by sin
And we see through a glass darkly.

Try to remember, Lord,
We don’t have all knowledge and all wisdom
Our methods and our procedures are different
And the view down here is not like Yours.

Try to remember, El Shaddai, we don’t
Always see cause and effect accurately
Humans may not connect all the dots
And the perspective on earth is different.

Try to remember, Jesus, we ask for
Door # 1 and are puzzled when we get door # 2
It’s all trial and error to understand Your ways
And the view is different down here.

Try to remember, God, by the time we
Figure out the basics, it’s over for us
So we aren’t usually playing with a full deck
It’s a whole lot different down here.

Try to remember, Saviour, it’s not
All obvious to us. We make our best choices
And are often bewildered by the results
Things look different down here.
