“Unexpected love”

That was the title of the movie I saw this afternoon on cable television. I did not sit in from the beginning, but a friend that was watching filled me in. You know, I had been passing off this movie because I thought it was a romantic movie, and I was right. It was about romance and I do not like watching romantic movies. I think they are boring. Now, do not get me wrong. I could be romantic, and I appreciate the romantic gestures of my fiancé. Anyway, I assumed the unexpected love was probably some guy who came along when a woman was at her lowest. Boy was I wrong. The movie was about a woman who after two kids, (one of which was old enough to graduate from high school) divorced her doting husband and decided she wanted someone better. I sat in on the movie and met the scene where the lady’s mum was avowing her resolve not to change her stand concerning her relationship. The mum was so forceful and emphatic, I immediately judged her as being heartless not to want to accept her daughter’s new relationship. It was when the daughter got home and a lady came to her living room to console her with a soothing hug, (well no biggie about that you may say) AND THEN A KISS! That was I got the gist. The unexpected love was another lady. The woman had crossed over and become a lesbian. The first time I came across a similar storyline was in “f”riends” where Ross’s wife (ok, the very first one) divorced him and moved in with a lesbian.
What I have been driving on all day is that the bible is absolute truth. We read in the Epistles of Apostle Paul to the Romans in chapter 1, how God gave some people up to abuse and misuse themselves so that they have become worse than animals. My goodness, animals know who they are supposed to mate! Some of us humans have decided to allow our flesh lead us to that point where we have become lower than animals. I guess that is why this state of affairs exists. It is being glamorised as okay. On Monday the 14th, I saw an episode of Boston Legal.. Well, this is my field, so I am pretty much interested. Anyway, Denny Crane’s right hand man (his name eludes me now) had a client who said she was some form of sex therapist (you won’t believe the names that are being coined up as professions!) to help people enjoy and experience sexual intimacy. Her method of therapy included counsel as well as having sex with them (to show them how I guess) if the need arises. Her lawyer made the profession seem so normal, he was asking the judge to give the woman sole custody of her daughter. Is this preposterous or what? What kind of models do we have in parents of today?
