In the skies and in the seas,
On the ground and on the trees,
I looked here and I looked there,
Couldn't find 'Him' anywhere.

I went to church and asked the priest,
Who was busy preparing for 'His' feast,
He told me he would find some way,
But couldn't find 'Him' anyway.

Went for a walk in the park,
Searched for 'Him' till it was dark,
Was sad to think what did I gain,
That all my search had gone in vain.

Then when I was done for the day,
I saw a poor child on my way,
Her eyes with sparkle and lips with a smile,
Made me feel 'He' was here all the while.
