"Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying,

'This is the way, walk in it,'
Whenever you turn to the right hand
Or whenever you turn to the left."
- Isaiah 30:21

The Children of God need His guidance and so should want it, like babes for mother's milk. In Isaiah 30 He wants it so much for His chosen people in their rebellion He warns He wll let them have their way until they cry out to Him in the sickness of their rebellion wanting His will for them.

If this how the Lord is for His rebellious
people how much moreso for those submitting to Him?

I personally believe He wants us to start at faith but not stop there. He wants us to move on from there to trust and yet even further beyond that to knowing, even on to conviction.

Look at it this way: I believe the Father has a plan for my life yet there have been times I find myself bewildered and confused. Conviction of what He intends to do with me could take me through that desert. I do not just need to believe.

I need the persuasion of conviction, like a voice saying,

"This is the way, walk in it,"

Sometimes I believe the Lord puts me in those deserts of confusion to bring me to a place of crying for His will. Earlier I found myself asking Him, "What do You intend to do with me" because of where I am at this point in my life.

Are we at least wondering, if not bewildered about where we should turn, or not turn. I say use it for good and cry to the Lord, "convict me of Your will for me!" This is the cry of an obedient Child of God, and I believe He delights in that.

In fact I believe I can safely say those who seek His general will are rewarded by Him showing them His specific will for them, even to the point of a blessed convicting voice saying,

'This is the way, walk in it.'

I desire the honor of taking the lead and praying for us.

Father God,

You thought it good to give us Jesus to bring us rightly to You. Also did You think it right to save us unto good works, that we should walk in them.

For Your goodness' sake You take us to places that provoke us to call to You as we should. We find ourselves crying for the way for us.

In that, it's not enough to have faith, except as a starting point to know You and Your ways. We desire that conviction. Make us know that we know, for those times when things are not so clear. We would even be grateful for just knowing the next step.

Father, be glorified through our need. It is from there we benefit.

Thank You in advance.

In Jesus name-AMEN!!!
