Maturity is such refreshing water,
  someone knowing the Lord and self.
The security of one certain 
  they need nothing but the hope ahead.

It's an undaunted ray, unflinching light; 
  sunlight kissing an ocean.

Then I pull back, though not in fear.
I want to make way for light. 
The one thing you seem to know.
That which you love to embrace.

The more I choose to listen, 
  the more I want to hear.
Every time I decide to look, 
  the more I want to see.
The more I choose to know you, 
  the more I have respect.

Then I pull back, though not in fear.
I just need to catch my breath.
